MARKETS SERVED
BY THE NONFERROUS INVESTMENT CASTING PROCESS

O'Fallon Casting has experienced great success in the military missile and electronic packaging markets. The markets we serve more closely parallel the markets served by the international investment casters than other domestic foundries shown below.

During World War II, the investment casting process proved to be practical for many military components - and during the postwar period it expanded into many commercial applications where complex metal parts were needed. The process is not limited to nor should it be excluded from any market segment.

Additional major commercial markets would include valves and pumps, medical and dental equipment, high speed automated precision machinery, hardware, business machines robotics, optical and laser equipment, silicon wafer processing equipment and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

O'Fallon Casting's sales are about evenly split between Commercial and Military/Aerospace applications. The Military/Aerospace applications actually account for more than half of the total nonferrous investment casting market.

The following Markets and Industry Sub-Groups were previously identified in an issue of Incast, the monthly magazine published by the Investment Casting Institute. Ferrous and Nonferrous Sales were included in their survey.
